Lyndsey Rosevear
Lyndsey holds a BA degree in International Relations and a MA degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution. She spent 13 seasons as a wildland firefighter for the province of British Columbia. Lyndsey founded and ran a non-profit organization in Nicaragua where she worked for 8 years implementing appropriate technology to rural Nicaraguans.
As an avid event planner and fundraiser, Lyndsey has hosted and organized events both internationally and locally. She is also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and consults on holistic health and fitness. Volunteerism has always been a significant part of her life and she has sat on many committees and advisory counsels such as the Ozanam Men’s Recovery House, the local Chamber of Commerce, and the International Network for Education in Emergencies.
Lyndsey became involved with the LHON community when she was diagnosed with the condition in 2018. She took part in a genetic drug trail and has seen significant vision recovery. Because of her vision loss / vision recovery journey, Lyndsey became involved with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and now works as a coordinator in career and employment.
